Elizabeth Anne Godbee Crenshaw

Thunderbolt – Elizabeth Anne Godbee Crenshaw, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her residence.  She was born in Savannah, GA daughter of James Clarence and Ina Mae Collins Godbee.  Mrs. Crenshaw was a 1962 graduate of Jenkins High School and in the same year married David P. Crenshaw.  She worked for Savannah Electric and Power for 12 years before moving to Spartanburg, SC in 1982 for her husband’s employment.  While there, she had the most important job as a stay at home wife and mother.   In 1986, she became licensed as a Realtor/Broker serving her clients in the Spartanburg area for 14 years.  Moving again in 1996 to Chicago with her husband’s job, she continued her career in real estate.  They again moved to Monroe, Louisiana in 2000 and ultimately retired to Savannah, GA in 2003.  Following retirement, they moved permanently to Thunderbolt, GA.  She attended Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Coleman Clarence Crenshaw.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, David P. Crenshaw of Thunderbolt; sons, Christopher Crenshaw (Merri) of Robuck SC; Craig Crenshaw (Michelle) of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Conner Allan Crenshaw and Sabin Finn Crenshaw.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery conducted by Reverend Billy Hester.

Remembrances:  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, 1008 East Henry St., Savannah, GA 31401.

So sorry to hear about Anne's passing. We spoke with Chris and Merri a few weeks ago. We love you all very much. We would feel honored if we could help you or your sons in any way. Anne and you have been the best SC neighbors to us all these years. God has a great homecoming planned for her and you will see her again.
